6. The anatomical and pathological findings of 16 dogs fed with a magnesium-deficient diet are compared with those of 8 normally fed animals. There was an extensive calcification of the tissues especially of the cardiovascular system, of the alveolar septa of the lungs, the mucous membranes of the bronchi as well as of the larynx and the trachea, and to a lesser degree in the gastric mucosa and the muscles of the skeleton and diaphragm.
